It’s been awhile since we last wrote and we hope this brief message finds you well!

One of the absolute most essential ways to enjoy a calm mind is through sleep. Adequate sleep is so critical -are you sleeping?

Did You Know?

  • Inadequate sleep is a form of stress on the body
  • On average, Americans are sleeping 1 – 2.5 hours less per night than they were 50 years ago
  • For the majority of people, 6 or less hours of sleep per night constitutes sleep deprivation
  • Even partial sleep deprivation has a significant negative impact on mood
  • There’s a strong relationship between between psychiatric and psychological problems and inadequate sleep
  • Many clinical studies prove that improving sleep relieves depression
  • Just one night without sleep, or subpar sleep, makes you as insulin resistant as a type II diabetic
