Here is my recipe for homemade lavender/rosemary bath salts. I LOVE, LOVE LAVENDAR!!!! It is so soothing, and calming. I always feel so relaxed, and zen whenever I smell lavender, so I use it every day!

For each batch of salts that I prepare, I use about 16oz. of Epsom salt. Epsom salt has so many important properties that help us to feel well, and stay healthy. In Dr. Mercola’s article, “Benefits of Magnesium is Far Greater Than Previously Imagined,” he tells us that health benefits of magnesium of been underestimated. He shares the following with us to explain how magnesium supports optimal health:

“A number of studies have previously shown magnesium can benefit your blood pressure and help prevent sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke. For example, one meta-analysis published earlier this year in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition2 looked at a total of seven studies collectively covering more than 240,000 participants. The results showed that dietary magnesium intake is inversely associated with risk of ischemic stroke.

But its role in human health appears to be far more complex than previously thought, and—like vitamin D—its benefits may be more far-reaching than we’ve imagined.’s database project has indexed over 100 health benefits of magnesium so far, including therapeutic benefits for”:

Fibromyalgia Atrial fibrillation Type2 Diabetes Premenstrual syndrome
Cardiovascular disease Migraine Aging Mortality

Here is how I prepare my Lavendar/Rosemary Bath Salts:

I use about 16 ounces of Epsom salt, 5 ounces of Lavendar essential oil, and about 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of Rosemary essential oil.

I suggest three parts(or three drops) Lavendar to one part (or one drop)Rosemary. Use the amount that you desire to enjoy a healing, zen experience in the bathtub! Use between 1/2 cup, to 1 cup per bath.
