NON ALCOHOLIC CRANBERRY, ORANGE, AND GINGER SPRITZER FOR THE HOLIDAYS! – WENDY BLANCHARD, M.S., CHHC

 

USE NATURAL AND ORGANIC INGREDIENTS WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 c. fresh cranberries
  • 2 c. freshly-squeezed orange juice (about 5-6 large oranges)
  • 1/2 c. coconut palm sugar
  • 2 one-inch pieces of ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 2 c. sparkling water, chilled (or more if you like it less sweet)
  • 2 drops Lime essential oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  • Combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and ginger in a medium pan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Continue to boil until cranberries begin to open up or pop. Once cranberries have opened and softened, use the back of a wooden spoon to smash them against the side of the pan. Remove from heat and cool.
  • Strain cooled cranberry mixture into a bowl through a fine mesh sieve. Remove solids and refrigerate juice until chilled for about an hour. Pour juice into pitcher and stir in sparkling water and lime essential oil. Serve with orange slices (or use one drop orange essential oil!) as a garnish.
